b) Hollow Load-Bearing Concrete Masonry Unit shall conform to ASTM C 90, Grade N and Non-Load Bearing Concrete Masonry Units per ASTM C 129 may be used if available.</div>

c) Concrete masonry units should be laid staggered and must be aligned in vertical and horizontal direction. The joint thickness should be 10mm to 12mm wide unless otherwise indicated.</div>

d) The height of masonry to be laid per day should not exceed the required height shown on the Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings.</div>

e) Masonry mortar for setting block wall shall be in accordance with ASTM C-270 Type S with corresponding proportion as follows:</div>

d) Install temporary grounds and screeds if required to ensure accurate rodding of plaster to true surfaces.</div>

d.1) Two-Coat Work over CMU:</div>

d.2) Job-Mixed Finish Coats: Proportion materials for finish coats in parts by volume for cementitious materials and parts by volume per sum of cementitious materials to comply with the following requirements:</div>

<li>1 part Portland Cement, ¾ to 1-1/2 parts lime, 3 parts sand or,</li>
<li>1 part Portland Cement, ¾ to 1-1/2 parts lime, 2 parts perlite</li>

e) Mechanically mix cementitious and aggregate materials for plasters to comply with applicable referenced standard and with plaster manufacturer’s recommendations.</div>

<li>The relative humidity is above 85% (95% for inorganic zinc) or as per contract specification</li>

In construction contract, it is essential to determine the order of priority of contract documents in order to resolve any conflicting documents which are all part of the contract. The existence of “<i>order of precedence of contractual documents</i>” would serve as a working mechanism of which would prevail during the execution of the work.</div>

<span style="color: #0b5394;">Accordingly, the FIDIC (<i>Internation Federation of Consulting Engineers</i>) 1999 edition of the Construction Contract in <u>Sub-Clause 1.5 - Priority of Documents</u> states that:</span></div>

<span style="color: #0b5394;">The documents forming the Contract are to be taken as mutually explanatory of one another. It is so clear that the tender as “item c” in the order of priority is absolutely above specifications and drawings. Please clarify.</blockquote>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Though that the Bill of Quantities is a tender document  consisting of list of work items required to construct, maintain and repair, if any, which prepared by the Employer during the bidding stage, the Contractor shall not be responsible for any potential errors in the quantities provided by the Employer. But he is responsible for the pricing of those work items he calculated and submitted in his offer.
However, “item h - the Schedules...” in the order of priority of contract documents defines in <u><span style="color: #0b5394;">Clause 1.1.1.7</span></u> that <span style="color: #0b5394;">"Schedules" means the document(s) entitled schedules, completed by the Contractor and submitted with the Letter of Tender as included in the Contract. Such document may include the Bill of Quantities, data, lists, and schedules of rates and/or prices.</span> Likewise, <u><span style="color: #0b5394;">Clause 1.1.1.10</span></u> states that <span style="color: #0b5394;">"Bill of Quantities" and "Daywork Schedule" mean the documents so named (if any) which are comprised in the Schedules.</span><br />
<br />
In a clearer sense the FIDIC did not require a BOQ for pricing but it allows a schedule of rates and prices.

Further, under <u><span style="color: #0b5394;">Clause 14.1 (c) - The Contract Price</span></u> stipulated that;<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #0b5394;">(c) any quantities which may be set out in the Bill of Quantities or other Schedule are </span><span style="color: #0b5394;">estimated quantities and are not to be taken as the actual and correct quantities:</span><span style="color: #0b5394;">             </span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;">                        i.  of the Works which the Contractor is required to execute, or</span><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;">                        ii. for the purposes of Clause 12 [Measurement and Evaluation]</span></div>

Passing the Professional Board Licensure Examination is not just a primary requirement for acquiring a professional license, which is a gateway to freely and legally practicing our profession, but it is also a defining moment of success for the hardships during long years of schooling. </div>

This professional license plays a significant role in determining our ability and capability on how much technical knowledge is stored in us. It measures what we have learned during our stay at the university. It is an affirmation, a kind of insurance, for the employer that we are bold enough to handle our job, roles, and responsibilities (R&R). On the client side, it assures security that a great mind renders and guarantees our service. </div>

Sometimes, we think more profound and more complicatedly, yet the solution is so basic. That's why it is always good to listen attentively to all lectures from our professors (instructors) during our classes at the university.</div>

c) On the exam, never spend time on difficult questions; skip momentarily and return later. Devoting your time to difficult questions may yield you to frustrations and mental blockage. Keep those easy questions that inspire you to keep going. Make it at least an educated guess, nearest to some of those values from your solutions during your calculations.</div>
