<b><span style="font-size: large;">1. SANITARY EQUIPMENT</span></b></div>
<ul>
<li>a) Toilet and bath accessories shall be as per approved material submittal conforming to approve manufacturer and material specifications mentioned on item 4 of Project Specification YPC-A18-S35 unless otherwise indicated. </li>
<li>b) Install accessories using the appropriate fasteners recommended by the manufacturer.</li>
<li>c) Install the units level, plumb and firmly anchored on required location and heights mentioned on specifications unless indicated on Issued for Construction drawings.</li>
<li>d) Adjust accessories for smooth operation and verify that mechanisms are functioning properly. Replace damage or defective items.</li>
<li>e) Clean and polish exposed surfaces according to manufacturer’s recommendation.</li>

<b><span style="font-size: large;">2. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT</span></b></div>
<ul>
<li>a) Installation of equipment should be as per correct alignment and elevation indicated on drawings.</li>
<li>b) Start equipment and operating components to ensure proper operation. Remove malfunctioning units, replace with new units, and retest.</li>
</ul>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">3. MASONRY BRICKWORK</span></b></div>
<ul>
<li>a) Concrete masonry unit (CMU) to be used shall be as per the size requirement shown on the Issued for Construction drawings.</li>
<li>b) Hollow Load-Bearing Concrete Masonry Unit shall conform to ASTM C 90, Grade N and Non-Load Bearing Concrete Masonry Units per ASTM C 129 may be used if available.</li>
<li>c) Concrete masonry units should be laid staggered and must be aligned in vertical and horizontal direction. The joint thickness should be 10mm to 12mm wide unless otherwise indicated.</li>
<li>d) The height of masonry to be laid per day should not exceed 1.60mtr.</li>
<li>e) Masonry mortar for setting block wall shall be in accordance with ASTM C-270 Type S with corresponding proportion as follows:</li>

           Cement: 1 part (by volume )</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
           Hydrated Lime : 1 part (by volume)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
           Sand : 4 part (by volume)</div>

           Water: sufficient to make a plastic mix that can be trowelled and will develop a complete bond</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
           Mortar Plasticizer: Dosage as recommended by the manufacturer</div>

<li>f) Masonry mortar shall not be mixed in advance of the time it is to be used in the work. Mortar that is not used within one hour shall be discarded. Re-tempering of mortar in which cement had started to set will not be permitted.</li>
<li>g) Reinforcing steel to be used shall be as per the size shown on Issued for Construction drawings.</li>
<li>h) Provide lintel where indicated on Issued for Construction Drawings.</li>
<li>i) Provide continuous horizontal reinforcement where indicated on drawings.</li>
</ul>

<b><span style="font-size: large;">4. METAL SHEET ROOFING AND SIDING WORK</span></b></div>
<ul>
<li>a) Exterior walls and roof shall be insulated steel panels/siding complying with specification SES A12-S02 unless otherwise indicated.</li>
<li>b) Panel/siding profile shall be “Hi-Rib Temp-Con” type as manufactured by [Metal Sheet Roofing Manufacturer] or approved equal.</li>
<li>c) Exterior coating finishes for insulated steel wall panels/siding, flashing, trim, fascia, gutters, gutter cradles and downspouts shall be per specification SES A12-S02. Paint color shall be Light Stone [Code #, Company Brochure] or approved equal.</li>

<b>5.1 Preparation</b></div>
<ul>
<li>a) Clean plaster bases and substrates for direct application of plaster, removing loose material and substances that may impair proper adhesion.</li>
<li>b) Etch concrete and concrete unit masonry surfaces indicated for direct plaster application and rinse thoroughly with clean water.</li>
<li>c) Apply bonding agent on concrete and concrete unit masonry surfaces indicated for direct plaster application and the material shall conform to ASTM C 932 or approved equal complying to manufacturer’s recommendation.</li>
<li>d) Install temporary grounds and screeds if required to ensure accurate rodding of plaster to true surfaces.</li>
</ul>

<b>5.2 General</b></div>

<li>a) Plaster materials i.e. base coat shall be as per the following types unless otherwise indicated:</li>

<li>b) Sand aggregate shall conform to ASTM C 897 and potable water shall be used for mixing.</li>
<li>c) Plaster mixes and compositions shall comply with ASTM C 926 for base and finish coat mixes.</li>
<li>d) Proportion materials for respective base coats in parts by volume per sum of cementitious materials for aggregates to comply with the following requirements for each method of application and plaster base indicated. Adjust mix proportions below within limits specified to attain workability.</li>

           d.1) Two-Coat Work over CMU:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
                      1 part Portland Cement, ¾ to 1-1/2 parts lime, 3 to 4 aggregate</div>

           d.2) Job-Mixed Finish Coats: Proportion materials for finish coats in parts by volume for                          cementitious materials and parts by volume per sum of cementitious materials to comply                      with the following requirements:</div>

                      1 part Portland Cement, ¾ to 1-1/2 parts lime, 3 parts sand or,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
                      1 part Portland Cement, ¾ to 1-1/2 parts lime, 2 parts perlite</div>

<li>e) Mechanically mix cementitious and aggregate materials for plasters to comply with applicable referenced standard and with plaster manufacturer’s recommendations.</li>
<li>f) The thickness of plaster should be 20mm thick unless otherwise noted.</li>
<li>g) Curing time for plastering work should be overnight after application of succeeding coat.</li>

Painting Metallic Works Procedure: Blasting, Painting & Repair

<b><span style="font-size: large;">1.   BLASTING</span></b></div>

1. Prior to painting, the surface for application is thoroughly cleaned of any material that may result in premature failure of the painting. Blasting or wire brushing will be completed in accordance with the customer specifications and manufacturers recommendations. </div>

2. Before using compressed air source for the surface preparation, the quality of air at the Blast nozzle should determined by blowing in to a piece of absorbent paper (Blotter). 388 Kpa(50 psig). The nozzle distance should be approximately 450mm -600mm (18-24 inches) the air flow should be maintained for one(1) minute to check for any contamination of oil or moisture is present.</div>

3. Before blast cleaning takes place, deposits of oil , grease and salt must be removed. Clean and dry compressed air free of oil, must be used for blasting. Abrasives used should have the following characteristics:</div>

<li>The abrasive has to be sharp and angular (so that the casting rate is high)</li>
<li>30-60 mesh can produce surface of 40 to 60 microns.</li>
</ul>

<li>It should be having a hardness of 6 to 7 Mohs scale ( the abrasive has the capability to penetrate hard to steel)</li>
<li>All abrasive should be cleansed so that high productivity is guaranteed due to kinetic energy is principle.</li>
<li>It should have no chloride content (premature paint failure is avoided). The allowable limit of chloride content should not exceed 25ppm.</li>
<li>Low silica content  1% free silica maximum.</li>
<li>A grit size should be in the range 0.3 - 1.5mm (12-60mils) in order to have a good production rates and achieving specified standards and especially when pitted surfaces.</li>
</ul>

4. Blast System should have been operated for the last 5 min. under actual field condition prior to performance of his Blotter test. The test is also made after any interruption of the air compressor operation. The air is used only if the Blotter test indicates no visible contamination.      </div>

5. Ensure the Air supply compressor, Air receiver, Pressure blast machine, Blasting hose and Airless spray equipment are in good condition and should be certified for use and a current test certificate available. Blasting nozzles should contain an operational deadman remote control valve. Painting equipment report should be used for verifying equipment suitability.</div>

6. Hoses, pumps and accessories should never be operated at pressures exceeding their rated pressure.</div>

7. Cover or otherwise protect all sensitive equipment, instruments, plastic, glass, valve stems, and other adjacent items from damage or contamination from blasting abrasives.</div>

8. After blasting, surface dust must be removed. In open conditions, blowing with dry compressed air the blasting kettle is satisfactory. Tanks however require careful cleaning; normally using vacuum cleaners to remove all grit dust particles </div>

1. Identify and quantify the scope on the required painting or its repair for the rejected painting.  Identify the painting type and specification requirements.</div>

2. Check and verify acceptable RH (relative humidity), dew point & substrate temperatures and air temperatures for the coating system to be applied.</div>

3. Ensure that safety requirements defined in material safety sheets are complied with throughout the course of each activity.</div>

4. Paints should not be used from containers showing signs of leakage.</div>

5. Paint containers should be clearly marked with batch nos. and the date of manufacture.  Any paints exceeding the recommended shelf life should be discarded.</div>

6. Ensure all relevant painting data sheets and work procedures / specifications are available to the relevant personnel.</div>

7. Ensure that painting personnel are suitably qualified and approved by the client for the intended work scope (when required).Qualification requirements for painters, blasters and crew supervisor.</div>

8.  Obtain the necessary work permits prior to commencing work.</div>

9. To ensure satisfactory results on painting or its repair, verify the adequate   clearance around the item to be coated or around the full area to be repaired, respectively.</div>

10. All painting materials used on a single item should be from one manufacturer finishing coat should be from one batch no. only.    </div>

11.  The type of abrasive to be used should be determined by the degree of   cleanliness and surface profile requirements for the particular painting system.  In all cases, the   manufacturer's painting data sheet and customer specification must be referenced.</div>

12. Paint should be thoroughly mixed before adding thinner, observing induction time in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Power mixers should be used for two-pack paints and all other types with quantities above 5 Liters.</div>

13. Paint should be applied by one of the following methods.</div>
<ul>
<li>Brush</li>
<li>Roller</li>
<li>Airless Spray</li>
<li> Air Spraying (conventional)</li>

14. Brush shall be applied in panting, wherever possible, be applied at 90° to the previous paint.</div>

15. An airless spray gun shall be use for a paint stream by ejecting it at a high pressure from specially designed tip.</div>

16. A conventional spray gun forms paint droplets by mixing air with the paint stream but turbulence will be rather higher than with airless spray. </div>

17. To ensure the paint is fully dispersed in fine droplets, its viscosity must be low.</div>

18. The area sprayed should be within a comfortable distance of the operator to avoid a long traverse of the jet or arcing of the gun.</div>

19. It may be necessary to perform solvent, detergent and/or potable water wash, prior to repair, after consideration of the following:</div>

 6.Civil Operation Section shall execute the filling / backfilling work in accordance SES C02-S02 and YPC-C02-S02 and ensure the following are being taken as a minimum: </div>

<li>a )Areas to receive fill materials shall be free of water, roots, trash, and other for foreign materials.</li>
<li>b )Use only fill materials that are approved by OWNER. </li>
<li>c )Compaction shall begin only after the fill or backfill has been properly placed, and the material to be compacted is shall be within ± 2 percent of OMC (Optimum Moisture Content).</li>
<li>d )All compaction equipment shall be suitable for the entire lift being compacted and the type of fill material being compacted. The type and size of hand-operated vibratory compactor and power tampers for use in restricted areas shall be suitable to perform the required compaction.</li>
<li>e )Fill & backfill adjacent to structures (i.e. retaining walls, pits, and basements) shall not be compacted with heavy equipment. It shall be compacted with hand operated equipment up to a distance of 1.2 m (4 ft.) beyond the side of structures. </li>
<li>f )Structural fill or backfill placed beneath footing, grade beams, mat foundation, or any settlement sensitive structures shall be compacted to at least 95 % of the maximum dry density as determined by ASTM D 1557.</li>

i )For Bedding & Backfilling of Piping Underground (i.e. GRP, FRP,  C.S. Steel Pipe): </div>

<li>i.1 .Pipe bedding materials shall be compacted to minimum 90 % of maximum dry density per ASTM D-1577.</li>
<li>i.2 .The finish bed shall be plane, of the minimum depth shown in drawing and shall provide uniform and continuous support for the pipe. Prior to pipe placement, slightly loosen the compacted bed at the invert location to a depth 25 to 50mm so the pipe when position into the trench seat well into the bed. Civil section shall inspect over excavation of the bed at each coupling joint location to insure that pipe will have continuous support.</li>
<li>i.3 Bedding and backfilling materials in the pipe zone shall be cleaned sand conforming to ASTM C 33. Native soil shall only be used for backfill above the pipe zone backfill.</li>
<li>i.4 .The backfill material shall not be frozen or contaminated with debris or other foreign matter that could damage the pipe or cause loss of side support.</li>
<li>i.5.A board or other blunt tools shall be used to push and compact backfill under the pipe.</li>
<li>i.6.Proper backfilling for pipe shall be done as follows:</li>

<li>a. The quantity of water present in the excavation is minor, dig a collection sump below the excavation level, where collected water can be pumped out using an ordinary suction pump.</li>

The quantity of water entering the excavation is deemed excessive and continuous flow is evident, use a dewatering system consisting of well points, multi-dewatering pumps, headers, flexible connections, cargo hoses and collecting tank erected at height considering the water heads for disposal of water to the approved canal/ pits, etc. This method will reduce seepage and prevent any breakdown of the excavation sides / base due to turbulence and flow. Well points will be installed at one side of excavation and if necessary at around the excavation at least 1.00 meter away from the edge. Well point must have sufficient depth at 1.0 to 1.5 m below the bottom of excavation to reduce the water level. The water level should be kept below the excavation finish level in order for compaction of the foundation base. The water removed from the excavation must be disposed to the approved disposal canal / pits. </li>
<li>c. Well point method (system) shall be utilized for dewatering works at site. </li>
</ul>

Continuously operate dewatering equipment until work within the excavation has been completed and then continuously operate until the work on concrete and backfilling has been completed. The tank shall be checked periodically by SUBCON and shall remove the sand accumulation as necessary. Standby pump unit will be provided at work site in case running pump gets trouble.</div>

<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT must request SUBCONTRACTOR to submit <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>their proposal with all relevant backup data, e.g. calculation sheet, bill of quantity, <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>drawings, sketches, etc.<br />

<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>After which, the CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT will submit the WORK ORDER<br />
 to CONTROL DEPARTMENT.<br />

2.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>CONTROL DEPARTMENT will check the WORK ORDER and ensure that all backup data are attached. The WORK ORDER reference number would be affixed by CONTROL DEPARTMENT if there is no error in the WORK ORDER.<br />
<br />
<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>In case there is any error in the WORK ORDER, CONTROL DEPARTMENT will <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>return it to the originator of the CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT. Once the errors <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>are corrected, the CONSTRUCTION will resubmit the WORK ORDER to <span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>CONTROL DEPARTMENT.<br />

6.  In case of Agreed Unit Price, Subcontract Unit price excepted Negotiated Lump Sum,<br />
 CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT must fix the final quantity, cost and take the Signature from SUBCONTRACTOR. Fill up the Work order finally and submit Final WORK ORDER to CONTROL DEPARTMENT<br />

7.<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>The Final WORK ORDER will be approved by the Field Control Manager and Site Manager In case there are no errors anymore.<br />
<br />
After approval from Site Manager, CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT will issue the WORK ORDER to the SUBCONTRACTOR. The SUBCONTRACTOR and the CONTROL DEPARTMENT will receive one full set copy of the Final WORK ORDER, and the original will be kept by CONTROL DEPARTMENT<br />
