Have a safe journey with us along with the safety team and management team of the Tagabinet Ugong Rock Tourism Service Cooperative of Barangay Tagabinet. Ugong Rock, a worthwhile stopover going to Sabang, is part of the UNESCO-inscribed property of Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.

Experience the so-called "Adrenaline Pumping (Rush)-Activities!" wherein you will be enjoying the Ugong Rock Adventures which covers those thrilling activities in and around their 50-meters-high and free-standing limestone karst including rock climbing, trekking, base jumping, zip-lining (71-meter drop), and zip biking.

The Ugong Rock was named as "Ugong" because of the reverberating sounds when tapped (loud sound that echoes when you hit or pound on the walls). It is a limestone rock formation that stands in the middle of rice fields. These caves have narrow passageways leading to a viewing deck situated at the top of a stunning rock formation. The top of the rock rewards you with the 360-degrees view of the Tagabinet Landscape and glance-look to the highest peak of Saint Paul's mountains which houses the highest chamber of the underground river cave.

Don't worry about your safety because upon arrival, you will be oriented by watching "safety-instructional video" in a cottage near the entrance and secured with harness, helmets, and gloves at another gear cottage. Likewise, if necessary, they will check your blood pressure in their clinic prior to any physical activities.

Ugong Rock Safety Instruction

Before entering the narrow crevices, the tour guide will explain all these passageways and even the history of the rock formations. You will learn that the cavern was a place of refuge during World War II and that the rock formation was caused by tectonic movements a million years ago when this place was still underwater.

Surely, I believe you'll be holding your breath as mine when you reached those wooden ladders or bridges below and above those steep and tricky rocks yet spectacular rock formations.  Just relax as you climbed because those friendly tour guides are readily available to help or assist you until you become comfortable. If in the event that your energy has been consumed, you can always stop-by in their café that offers fresh fruit shakes.
